Sri Surya Education Economic and social Development charitable trust is service minded voluntary & non-governmental organization was established in 2005 and under the Tamilnadu trust registration act 1956 having registered office at Gingee Taluk of Villupuram District ,Tamil Nadu. It began its activities by organizing need based welfare programmes, women empowerment through SHGs and community development programmes.
Sri Suriya Education, Economic and social charitable trust is a Non-Govt , not a profit organization, has been operating under the able guidance of J.Sumathy , Managing Trustee with the aim of protect and promote the rights of marginalized whose life is hard, precarious. We began our work initially at Ottampattu now it has been expanded into 40 Villages across Gingee Block and Melmalaiyanur Block and Vikkravandi, Kanai ,VallamBlock.

It is charity body whose principal aspiration is to socially mobilize and activate the rural people particularly women and children to exercise their rights access to natural resources and to enhance their socio, economic condition . It hopes to be the mediator of a community independence which evolves through education. At Sri Suriya, we recognize the crucial role that trees play in our ecosystem, and we are dedicated to planting and caring for trees to ensure a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come. Through our Eco Development program, we actively engage our students, staff, and community members in tree plantation activities. We believe that by involving everyone in the process, we can instill a sense of responsibility and ownership for our environment and inspire positive change.
At Sri Suriya, we believe in the power of economic empowerment to transform lives and communities. Through our Micro Credit Loan Support initiative, we provide access to small loans to rural women who lack access to traditional banking services and face barriers to economic opportunity. Our program aims to break the cycle of poverty by providing women with the resources they need to start or expand their own businesses, generate income, and support their families. We recognize that women are often the backbone of rural economies, and by investing in their entrepreneurship and leadership, we can create positive ripple effects that benefit entire communities.
